FAQ’s

DO YOU OFFER CONSULTATIONS?

Yes! I offer a FREE consultation for anyone on the fence about simplifying their make up routines. During the consultation, we’ll talk about what you do and don’t like about your current look. We’ll discuss which service will suit you best along with what to expect before and after for that service.

WHY SHOULD I AVOID CAFFEINE AND ALCOHOL BEFORE MY PERMANENT MAKEUP APPOINTMENT?

Avoiding caffeine and alcohol 72 hours before your appointment is crucial because both can thin your blood and increase bleeding. Excessive bleeding can dilute the pigment, making the results less effective and impacting the longevity and appearance of your new brows. For the best results, please steer clear of the substances in the days leading up to your appointment.

WHY SHOULD I AVOID SMOKING BEFORE AND AFTER MY PERMANENT MAKEUP APPOINTMENT?

Smoking reduces blood flow and oxygen in your skin, which are critical for proper healing. It can slow the healing process, increase the risk of infection, and affect how the pigment settles, often leading to uneven or faded results.

If the pigment fades too much, you may need additional sessions beyond the Initial and Touch up appointment to achieve your desired look. Avoiding smoking before and during the healing period helps ensure better results and fewer touch-ups.

WHAT IS PERMANENT MAKEUP? AND IS IT REALLY PERMANENT?

Permanent makeup is a form of cosmetic tattooing. It is also known as micropigmentation. In fact, it is a semi-permanent and the effects can last from 1 to 3 years, depending on the treatment and maintenance.

The pigment is inserted into the dermal layer of the skin, it does not go as deep as a traditional tattoo and that is the reason it starts to fade after some time.

IS IT PAINFUL?

It can’t be described as painful, since the pigment does not go so deep under the skin. It can be a little uncomfortable.

Anesthetic numbing gel is applied to help ease the procedure. Most clients say the level of discomfort is similar to the one you feel when tweezing your brows. Some of them even feel nothing at all.

WHAT WILL I LOOK LIKE AFTER THE MICROBLADING PROCEDURE?

Your microbladed brows will be about 40% darker after the appointment. The true color will be seen after 7-14 days once the healing process is over.

Also, some redness and or swelling might occur, and goes away within 24 hours.

WHAT ACTIVITIES SHOULD I AVOID?

After your session, you should avoid any activity that includes sweating or heat. So, no working out, visiting saunas and or sitting in the sun.

No swimming! Water can damage your freshly done permanent makeup.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT THE DAY OF THE PROCEDURE?

Appointments are usually 2-3 hours long.

The first part includes a FREE consultation and preparation, where we choose the pigment color, shape of your brows etc.

After that, the artist will create a design by reshaping and or enhancing your existing brows to help you envision your ideal end result. Once you are 100% satisfied, we will proceed.

Aftercare routines will be provided by your Microblade Artist, which every client needs to follow to ensure the best brow results.

In the end, we will schedule your first Touch - Up appointment, which is NOT mandatory but is HIGHLY suggested.

CAN YOU FIX MY OLD MICROBLADE/PERMANENT MAKEUP WORK?

Previous work must be at least 2-3 years old or must be at least 80% faded.

*The Artist reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who is deemed not suitable for permanent makeup for any reason.

CAN I WEAR MAKEUP AS USUAL AFTER THE PROCEDURE?

After any permanent makeup session, it is HIGHLY advisable to avoid wearing makeup on or near the newly treated area for two weeks. As this will avoid any infections.

After 48 hours you can wear makeup on the other parts of your face, but make sure it does not go near the newly treated area.

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN I NEED MY ANNUAL MICROBLADE TOUCH-UP?

After your 6 to 8 week touch-up session, clients should not need another session for 12 to 18 months. Simply when the color starts to fade, is when you should book your yearly session.

The frequency of touch ups will depend on the speed of fading, and it also depends on your skin type and lifestyle.
